How to pack: step by step guide and advice
Let’s start with the user instructions for a perfect suitcase, a quick and easy list to get off to a great start.

1. Prepare everything on the bed

Even if you are anxious to pack everything you see scattered around the house, in order not to forget anything, you should fold all your clothes and start placing them on the bed. Also gather beauty cases, electronics, medicines and everything else you need and proceed.

2. Choose the strongest and lightest suitcase
Now that you have an idea of ā€‹ā€‹how many things you need to bring, choose the smallest suitcase that can hold all that stuff. If you have more than one available, choose the lightest suitcase; a kilo less than a suitcase corresponds to a kilo more than your ā€œessentialā€ equipment.

3. Start with your towel and robe
It’s time to start packing. So if and only if your hotel or apartment doesn’t already provide you with some, start putting a bathrobe and towel on the bottom of the suitcase; these will form a soft base to put your clothes on. But don’t take the classic terry bathrobes, which weigh a lot and take up half a suitcase alone, instead choose a microfiber towel, compact but more than enough to perform the function during the trip.

4. Put the socks in your shoes
Obviously not! Or not when you pack. Well, putting the socks (rolled upon themselves) inside the shoes allows you not only to save space but also to maintain the shape of the shoes that would otherwise be compressed by the objects in the suitcase.

5. Fold and roll
The suitcase is taking shape. But now there are starting to be empty spaces here and there. Then roll up! Fold the shirts. This way you can fit them in tighter spaces without wrinkling them.

6. Belts in shirts
Belts can be really handy if you want to bring shirts in your suitcase. Roll the belts around themselves and slip them into the shirt collar. In this way, the collar cannot be crushed by other clothes and will keep its shape. If you really want everything to be flawless, sacrifice half a kilo and put a mini-iron in your suitcase.

7. No boxes and maxi-bottles
Carrying the 800ml bottle is certainly not the wisest idea, is it? But you don’t have to leave the products you usually use at home. Use smaller bottles, such as those you usually find in hotel rooms, and you will save a lot of space but above all a lot of weight.

After reading all of these instructions you may think, all of this is not worth it, and you should stay home and watch some movies or series on Netflix, kissanime or play some video games on PS5! But trust me this is worth it.
Do you want to bring a particular cream? Put some in a small plastic container (pill container, Kinder egg capsule, contact lens container, etc.).

If you have nothing at hand, or if you want something more reliable for transport, you can use the special 100ml travel bottles (supplied with the same cap as the liquid soap)

The same principle applies to cardboard boxes, such as those for medicines; here not so much for the weight but for the volume of space, it is always advisable to keep only the blisters and leave the boxes at home.

8. Close the bottles with scotch tape and bags
If you have liquids in your suitcase and are traveling by plane, be aware that any content you decide to use will be strained on the way and the contents may leak. To avoid this, close the caps of bottles and containers with paper tape (and take it away) and use a plastic bag, such as the one for the freezer, to close all liquid products inside.

9. Read with an ebook reader
Although paper books have their own charm, when you decide to carry them around, they weigh on your arms, and especially on the check-in scale. While traveling, you can save weight and space with an ebook reader where you can download all your favorite books.

10. Use a luggage scale
There is no problem on the way out, but on the way back, perhaps with some extra souvenirs, it might be convenient for you to weigh your suitcase. Use a portable luggage scale to carry on all your travels; You buy it with a few euros and it can save you a lot in terms of overweight surcharges when you arrive at the check-in counter. 11. Use a small backpack

If the suitcase hasn’t burst yet, put a small backpack (possibly with many pockets) inside; in addition to being useful during your vacation, it can come in handy if you find yourself at the last minute with a few extra pounds. In fact,

many companies allow you to carry a backpack or bag (in addition to your hand luggage) in the cabin where you can keep your PC, camera, or, of course, simple personal items, as long as this can be stored under the seat of in front of yours.

12. Wear an earring or a paper clip
Not a tip for women, but for everyone. In fact, modern smartphones need a special “key” to be open (to extract SIM or SD card). If you don’t remember to carry it with you every time, an earring with a straight and rigid rod or a paper clip (perhaps to leave it Fin your wallet) are still perfect alternatives for the purpose.

13. Travel light: bring only essential accessories
The last general advice we give you is to be very selective in preparing your suitcase, thinking only of what you cannot do without. In our article Travel accessories: the 8 most useful and indispensable for every traveler, we suggest the ones you must never forget.
